Issue with Neuralink device in patient

The threads of the brain-computer interface device (marked on the image) had somehow detracted from the patients brain within a couple weeks of the implantation. While the company reported that it was able to readjust the device’s software to regain performance, the incident highlights that neural implant technology remains experimental and may be subject to unforeseen technical complications. Will future patients have to go in for software updates uploaded directly into their brain? What are the negative consequences of this slip-up? Your brain tissue is extremely sensitive and any force can have long lasting consequences.
